The Oldest Winter Bathing Club in the United States Founded in 1903

The Coney Island Polar Bear Club is the oldest winter bathing club in the United States. Members take weekly plunges together on Sundays from November through April. While the club is not accepting new members this season, we encourage you to join the annual Coney Island Polar Bear New Year’s Day Plunge, which is open to the public.
